STORYTELLING & DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKING

Find the story. Bring it to life.

A round of golf, a family bakery, a wedding, a conference. Each has a story if you know where to look. I pay attention to the people, listen for what matters, and bring the moments together into a film that gives you a reason to care.

01 / Seasons Yield Farm

The Bread Barn

A story I found close to home.

I watched a local family’s bread days grow into a community gathering and wanted to tell the story behind them. I spent three days on the farm, following the baking, family life, and small moments that made the place special. Those observations shaped the interviews and the direction of the film.

Concept, producing, directing, cinematography, and interviews by me. An external editing partner cut the film under my story direction and review.

How I found the story

I stayed on the property while the family worked through a roughly 48-hour baking cycle. I kept notes on conversations, observations, and questions, then returned for a separate interview day.

That time together helped them feel comfortable on camera. The film grew out of getting to know their lives, then connecting the work, the family, and the community around them. It remains one of the films I’m most proud of.

02 / Chasing Scratch

Desert Slashers

The people behind the round.

Chasing Scratch already had a distinctive voice. The challenge was bringing that humor, personality, and story onto the golf course. I captured the action and conversations, then worked closely with Mike Shade to weave the footage, voiceovers, and podcast material into a film that felt like Chasing Scratch.

I filmed the video and handled the full technical edit. Story, pacing, and voice were developed in close collaboration with Mike.

03 / Paul & Ashleigh

Wedding filmmaking

A story that reaches beyond the day.

Vows, letters, and toasts reveal who a couple are and what they mean to each other. I bring those words together with candid moments and cinematic footage to tell their story, giving the day an emotional thread that carries through the film.

04 / Conference film

Creative at Heart

Find the reason people came together.

A conference has a schedule, but its story is in the people. Ashley and I built this film around the founder’s message about community, connecting it with the speakers, conversations, and shared moments we captured. The film shows what the gathering meant to the people who were there.

Created with Ashley as The Herrintons.
