What I do

A creative partner who understands the whole process.

01

YouTube success starts before you hit record.

I shape the idea and packaging together around who the video is for, why they’ll click, and what will keep them watching.

  • Audience research & channel fit
  • Strong concepts, formats & story structure
  • Titles, thumbnails & opening hooks
  • A clear creative plan before production
02

Bring the vision to life.

I capture the footage and gather the material to tell the story, with the hands-on skills to make it look and sound great.

  • Studio & on-location filming
  • Cinematography, lighting & audio
  • Directing & on-camera coaching
  • Gathering the right material for the story
03

Bring it together. Publish with purpose.

I bring everything together in an edit that tells a clear story and respects the viewer’s time. What we learn after publishing helps make the next video stronger.

  • Story-driven editing, pacing & short-form cuts
  • Color grading, audio mixing & custom graphics
  • Final titles, thumbnails & publishing schedule
  • A/B testing, analytics & ongoing improvement

Turning an established personal brand into a 100,000+ subscriber channel.

Katelyn James

I proposed YouTube as a new discovery engine for Katelyn’s education business. I helped launch the channel and owned the process, from ideas and scripting to filming, editing, and publishing, for more than four years. My understanding of her audience, paired with what we learned from each video, shaped the channel’s direction and growth.

  • Channel launch, formats & publishing calendar
  • Editorial producing, filming & complete editing
  • Titles, thumbnails & YouTube Studio analysis
  • Audience insight & ongoing channel growth

In Katelyn’s words

“Tyler is the reason I have 115,000 subscribers on my YouTube Channel. He didn’t just film content for me, he produced and directed every single episode.”

Building the strategy. Owning the execution. Creating momentum.

Matt Scharff

Matt had an established audience, but his channel had gone quiet. I brought a plan built around stronger video ideas, intentional packaging, and consistent uploads, using Shorts to reengage viewers and help drive growth. I owned the entire process, from strategy and filming to editing, Shorts, and publishing. The channel passed two million views in our first month of weekly long-form videos and Shorts.

  • Channel direction, video concepts & upload schedule
  • Solo filming with my own equipment
  • Editing, graphics, tracers & social clips
  • Titles, thumbnails, publishing & performance analysis

Building a niche video show that brought a community together.

The Goulet Pencast

I developed the idea for the Goulet Pencast, a video-first podcast for fountain pen enthusiasts. Working with hosts Brian Goulet and Drew Brown, I helped shape and refine the format into a show that built a deeply engaged community, with hundreds of comments on every episode, recurring jokes, and viewers returning each week. I produced and edited nearly 150 episodes and helped build a studio the hosts could operate themselves.

  • Collaborative show format & recurring segments
  • Nearly 150 episodes produced & edited
  • Remote workflow and self-operable studio build
  • Audience engagement & community identity

Trusted to deliver for one of YouTube golf’s largest channels.

Good Good

Good Good has more than two million subscribers and a loyal audience that knows its style. I stepped into the team and contributed to published videos from the outset, working quickly and independently with minimal direction. By studying their content and understanding the brand, I delivered edits that fit naturally alongside the team’s own work.

  • Independent editing matched to the channel’s style
  • Flexible support across the production team
  • Collaborative handoffs & dependable delivery
  • Primarily post-production, plus one camera-operator shoot

Concept, directing, cinematography, interviews & editorial direction.

My role & behind the film

I spent three days at Seasons Yield Farm filming the baking, family life, and community gathering, then returned for interviews. The film brings together the patient observation and cinematic storytelling I love most.

An external post-production partner handled the edit under my story direction and review.

Filming, interview lighting, story edit, color grading & audio mixing.

My role & behind the film

Across two evenings, I filmed interviews and captured the tutoring program as it happened. I turned a small classroom into an interview space, then built the story from the conversations and the moments we captured.

Experienced production support, built around the way your team works.

I work with creators, brands, and established production teams on ongoing YouTube channels and individual projects. I can help shape the approach, lead the production, own post, or fit into an existing workflow wherever experienced support is needed.

I’m especially excited by creators and brands with a distinct voice, perspective, or access to share. I want to help turn that into YouTube videos that give audiences something they haven’t seen before and build something the team is proud of.

About me

I get curious. I go deep.
I make it happen.

When I pick up a new hobby or interest, I want to learn everything I can about it. That curiosity took me from photographing weddings in college to building an international photography and filmmaking business with my wife, Ashley. It also turned my passion for YouTube into a career producing videos for some of its biggest creators.

I’m always watching, studying, and paying attention to what’s happening in the world of YouTube. I want to understand what’s changing, what’s connecting with audiences, and how that should shape what we make next. Whether I’m learning a new niche or joining an established team, I put in the work to understand it and contribute.

I combine my passion for YouTube with a background in filmmaking and storytelling. I can help figure out what we should make and why, then bring the technical skills to make it happen.

I live in Richmond, Virginia with Ashley and our four young kids. Outside work and family life, I’m usually following Formula 1 or trying to find time for a round of golf.
